The spout, designed by PouchSmart, Inc., Santa Monica, CA, and
manufactured by Magenta LLC, Chicago, IL, contains a molded membrane
which provides a completely hermetic seal, ideal for hot fill or
aseptic packaging applications. The membrane also provides the benefit
of moderated flow control to minimize spillage. A tamper evident cap
is tethered to the fitment and exceeds CSPC safety guidelines. Langers
has a licensing agreement with The Walt Disney Co. to brand the pouches
with a variety of popular Disney properties, including Disney Fairies,
Hannah Montana, High School Musical, and Cars; PouchSmart will have
other properties available soon. The pouch film is 7-color rotogravure
printed, supplied by Alcan Pkg. The spouted pouches are manufactured
on an Effytec horizontal, form, fill, seal machine, supplied by
PouchSmart. The package is well suited for beverage and pureed fruit
