Miller time is now clearer
Clear, pressure-sensitive labels are decorating Miller Genuine Draft (MGD) and Genuine Draft Light (MGD Light) 12-oz long-neck bottles for Miller’s national on-premise summer and fall ’01 music promotions. Paper labels are also being replaced by the no-label-look for national retail distribution of the two brands. Last year, Miller tested 11 core markets with the clear labels and “significant volume increases were realized by both brands,” says Ron Acosta, public relations manager for MGD.

Aseptic drink box recyclable in Canada
What was once reviled by environmentalists in the United States and was actually banned in the state of Maine in the early ‘90s is now the recipient of an environmental award in Canada. A new 250-ml recyclable Tetra® Prisma aseptic carton, which holds Oasis Health Break juice cocktails from A. Lassonde, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, received an Envirowise Award for its recyclability from the Packaging Association of Canada in April ’01.
