High-tech, automated molding equipment comes with affordable price tag

A new system exhibited at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2009 breaks the mold, with affordable molding technology that allows for a wide variety of cushion shapes and sizes.

Sealed Air Corp.'s new Instapak iMold® is "quite possibly the simplest to use foam-bag system on the market today," says the company's Instapak product manager, Tim McInerney, as he demonstrates the new machine at this year's show in Las Vegas. The system uses Sealed Air's patented Foam Dispersion Technology™, producing cushions at a rate of 400 to 600/shift, and is recommended for low-volume packaging operations or decentralized, high-volume operations.
