We thought this time we’d give a little shout out to the advertising side of the business by resurrecting the image that appeared in an ad for DuPont’s Surlyn ionomer resin, a spread ad that ran in just about every issue we published in 1995, the second year of Packaging World’s existence. The accompanying copy: “Ice cream maker trims 165 tons off waste.” Let this little anniversary gesture be our way of saying thank you to all of the hundreds of advertisers without whose support we could not have flourished as we did these 20 years. Thanks, too, to the ad agencies whose geniuses came up with the witty copy and clever images—like this one—that have graced our pages since 1994.
