Featuring clear and white films, smooth, rich and even metallized papers, these label stocks are ideal for creative, ink-packed designs that portray an upscale look.

Labels get new life with Silvervac WSA
Product packaging heavily influences purchasing decisions, and the life of the label heavily depends on the environmental conditions of the storage space or where the product is consumed. Moisture, humidity and extreme cold can adversely affect paper label stocks, but wet strength additive products like UPM Raflatac’s Silvervac WSA ensure branding and shelf appeal shine throughout the product life cycle. And the tensile and tear properties of these label stocks have been optimized for high-speed die cutting at wide widths.

Clear film faces support no-label look
In the spirits segment, obtaining a true no-label look is key to exemplifying pure flavor, and UPM Raflatac’s clear film face stocks – the thinnest in the industry – feature a water-whitening resistant adhesive that allows brand owners to easily achieve this effect. Although the appearance is comparable to printing directly on the bottle, clear film labels allow for additional embellishment techniques, quick design changes and greater flexibility for managing bottle stocks.

Adhesive performance keeps spirits high
Much like original spirits brands, the adhesives used in liquor applications have specific performance attributes. UPM Raflatac’s spirits label stocks featuring RP48AT adhesive are specially designed to reposition for up to 30 minutes once applied on a glass bottle. This reapplication ease not only helps reduce waste generated by misapplied labels, but it also allows for cost-savings and increased efficiency.

Security solutions protect brands
In an increasingly competitive and image-conscious marketplace, the threat of product tampering, counterfeiting or diversion to grey market channels often puts brand perceptions at risk. With difficult-to-reproduce features, UPM Raflatac’s wide range of security labeling materials meets the needs of the spirits industry in terms of anti-counterfeiting and authentication measures, traceability and primary and secondary packaging seals.
