Weetabix launches new range

Leading U.K. cereal producer Weetabix has launched a new range of single-serve cereal products in an injection molded and brightly decorated polypropylene cup.

Bright graphics are the distinguishing feature of these single-serve cups.

Greiner supplies the cup, which gets a glue-applied wraparound paper label that is offset printed in five colors by Delta Packaging. The pre-cut polyester lids, supplied by Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury, are printed  in five colors and are heat-sealed to the cups.

Launched in February, the new line of cereals sell for about 1 pound sterling each.

“We introduced these new breakfast pots to appeal to consumers looking for a quick and nutritious breakfast they can eat anywhere,” says Mark Tyrrell, Packaging Control Manager for Weetabix. “The on-the-go breakfast market is growing as more and more people eat their breakfast out of the home, and this represents a big opportunity for retailers. We’re delighted with both the design and quality of the products.”

Vicki Slater, Sales Administrator, at Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury, adds: “We are very pleased with these fun, bold designs for Weetabix which will have real shelf appeal. It was great to work on a new concept for such well-loved brands from Weetabix.”
