Glow-in-the-dark treatment for special tequila

Boulder, CO-based Suerte Tequila has launched its limited-release, 100% Tahona-processed, five-year single-barrel Extra Añejo in a one-of-a-kind, glow-in-the-dark bottle.

“Because our Extra Añejo is such an exceptional liquid, we wanted to create a one-of-a-kind bottle to showcase our five-year aged tequila,” says Suerte Tequila co-founder Laurence Spiewak. “Our bottle really stands out on the back bar or shelf and invites tastemakers to experience a beautiful aged tequila.”

The 750-mL glass bottles are made by Bruni Glass and then sent to Monvera Glass Décor for screen printing. According to Suerte, the photoluminescent pigments used in the manufacture of the enamel coatings represent next-generation technology, offering a palette of vibrant, glowing colors. The new glow technology requires a shorter charge time and releases light over a longer period of time.

Available in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, Maryland, Delaware, and Washington DC, the 750-mL bottle retails for $110.00.
