Matt Breckheimer, Group President of ITW’s Value-Added Solutions Platform, announces that Gina Powers has been named Vice President and General Manager of ITW Dynatec, a global leader in hot melt bonding and sealing solutions. ITW Dynatec, along with Zip-Pak and Valeron, comprise the Value-Added Solutions Group, which Breckheimer oversees. In her role, Powers is responsible for driving growth and innovation across ITW Dynatec’s worldwide customer base and markets.

Breckheimer comments: “Gina’s track record as an effective leader within the ITW community speaks for itself. We are delighted to have her join ITW Dynatec, and look forward to the many contributions she will bring to the continued growth and success of the company as a leader in hot melt adhesive solutions.”

Powers began her ITW career at Filtertek, an ITW Medical Company, in Hebron, IL, while she was still in high school. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northern Illinois University, Powers relocated to Iowa for a product engineer role with Pella Corporation. In 2007, she returned to ITW as Quality Engineer at Filtertek. Then, in 2012, she became an Innovation Manager at the ITW Tech Center located in Glenview, IL.

Powers later went on to serve as Operations Manager for two manufacturing facilities within ITW Powertrain Plastics Components, ultimately earning the role of Business Unit Manager, where she drove significant operational improvements, and positioned the business for future growth.

“Working with ITW Dynatec represents an opportunity to collaborate with an extremely talented team in providing a highly technical and differentiated offering to customers across a diverse range of global markets,” says Powers. “The company is well poised for growth, and focus on innovation, delighting customers, and delivering flawlessly, is closely aligned with my own philosophies for creating value.”

Powers participated in ITW’s Early in Career program while simultaneously completing her Master’s Degree in Management Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology. The ITW Early in Career program is an integrated development process for accelerating the readiness of ITW leadership talent. The program teaches leadership capabilities specifically designed to improve business outcomes to prepare individuals for future leadership positions within the company.
