Sport drink cap (with Overcap) assembly system
Shibuya Hoppmann designed a Sports Cap Feed and Capper Assembly System for a major closure manufacturer. The system feeds, orients and assembles spouts and locking caps at an output rate of 200 ppm using an eight-station continuous motion assembly system. Each station had an individual servo motor to precisely torque each cap assembly to preset specifications.

Fill'er up! Aseptic fillers meet ESL needs! But that's not all we do when it comes to filling!
Aseptic processing involves the packaging of a sterile product in a manner that ensures its sterility. Found primarily in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, aseptic processing is used on a regular basis to ensure purity and extend shelf life (ESL). Aseptic filling traditionally produces a package that can be stored and shipped at ambient temperatures.

Pharmaceutical application: Dosing cup placement
A U.S. pharmaceutical company needed a system to feed, orient and place three (3) different dosage cups onto corresponding liquid filled medicine bottles at output rates ranging from 85 to 160 bottles per minute, depending on size of bottle. The CMA turret is designed with individual vacuum heads that lift each cup up and gently place it over the capped/filled liquid bottle.

Scoring high rates for pharmaceutical tablet feed systems
A major pharmaceutical company needed to feed and orient bi-color tablets at high rates of speed. Shibuya Hoppmann built two different systems - one using a single feeder system with rates of 1,250 ppm, and a second combining two hi-speed feed systems (with rotary accumulation table), resulting in rates of 2,500 ppm. Both systems used a 2-color sensor to orient bi-colored parts.

Energetic feed system for small energy drink bottles
Shibuya Hoppmann's custom designed Bottle Feed System uses unique urethane scallops to singulate and orient empty 2 ounce energy drink bottles. The system then ionizes and flips them 180Ëš and takes them downstream to filling operations at an output rate of 525 bottles per minute.

Hands off! Robotic pick-n-place packaging technology
Shibuya Hoppmann's robotic packaging lines sort and package products using computer processing of product shapes and positions acquired through vision cameras. Here our automated unscrambler sorts eyedroppers at high speed using a robot – technology manufactured to handle a variety of products in the pharmaceutical, household, personal care, and food industries.
