Phoenix Contact (Harrisburg, PA) expanded its distribution relationship with Hagemeyer North America (Charleston, SC) to include most Northeast and Southeast U.S. locations. Hagemeyer will continue to support the full Phoenix Contact product line.

Sonoco (Hartsville, SC) will manufacture easy-open closures at a mfg. facility in Resende, Brazil.

PDC-Europe (Austin, TX) introduces SII – Sleeve Innovation Intl., a worldwide consulting company.

Darex (Cambridge, MA) and H.B. Fuller Co. (St. Paul, MN) have formed a joint marketing and distribution alliance. Under the terms of the agreement, H.B. Fuller will sell Darex’s Daran® PVdC latex as well as its Hydroflex® family of waterborne adhesives for drybond and wetbond laminations.

Enercon (Menomonee Falls, WI) and Ford’s Packaging Systems (Bedford, England) have agreed that Enercon will be Ford’s official supplier of induction sealing technology equipment in North America.

Wepackit (Orangeville, Ontario, Canada) has formed an exclusive partnership with Bevco Sales Intl. (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada) whereby Bevco will represent Wepackit’s case packing, erecting, and closing systems throughout the northwest United States and western Canada.

CVC (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) has tripled its previous size by adding an ISO 9002 certified, off shore mfg. plant that will allow the development of new products and expanded production of the company’s full line of labeling, pharmaceutical packaging, and other packaging machinery.

Exopack (Spartanburg, SC) and Plassein (Willington, CT) have signed letters of intent with respect to Exopack’s acquisition of Plassein’s flexible packaging facilities in Thomasville, NC, Longview, TX, Ontario, Canada, and Newmarket, Canada.

Star Packaging (College Park, GA) purchased a Nordmeccanica SprintFlex 10; a state-of-the-art 10-color quick-change flexo press.

Rexam Healthcare Flexibles (Madison, WI) introduces Rexam Pharma Services to cut time-to-market by facilitating the production of sample packs.

Xaar (Cambridge, England) acquired Vivid Print Innovations (San Antonio, TX).

DVT Corp. (Duluth, GA) has formed an agreement with Yamaha Robotics (Edgemont, PA) to market its Legend family of vision products for integration into Yamaha’s line of industrial robotics.

Hartness Intl. (Greenville, SC) created Hartness Intl. Integration, LLC to provide a higher level of integrated line performance, focusing on “innovative line design, forward thinking controls philosophies, customer-focused project execution, and premier training and certification in the field.”
