Rovema North America—a subsidiary of Rovema GmbH, which designs and supplies packaging machinery for the food industry—has hired Maryann Walburn as North East Sales Manager for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. In this role, Walburn will be responsible for growth and sales performance, and will focus on prospecting and capturing market share, developing and implementing sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives, and working closely with product management and marketing to successfully launch strategic campaigns.

Rovema provides packaging machinery and supplies to the global bakery, confectionary, cereal, liquids, snack foods, frozen foods, dry powder, and coffee markets.

Prior to joining Rovema, Walburn was Sales Manager for RA Jones, a packaging manufacturer, where her partnership development capabilities helped make her among the most successful salespersons in the company’s history. While at RA Jones, she was twice on a sales team whose packaging line offerings were awarded Packaging Line of the Year by Packaging Machinery Technology Magazine. Prior to that, Walburn was a regional area manager for Rovema Packaging Machinery, whose Rovema-related assets have since been acquired by Rovema North America.

“Maryann is a proven packaging industry sales professional with an existing background in Rovema machinery,” says John Panaseny, CEO of Rovema North America. “Her experience not only in sales but also in customer service and relationship building in the Northeast will be a valuable addition to our Sales and Marketing team.”

Ms. Walburn earned both a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Marketing from Kean University in New Jersey. She resides in Hoboken, NJ.
