Morningstar Foods: Filling/lidding on ESL dairy line

On this extended shelf life bottling line for dairy products, three sequential stations flood interior and exterior of empty bottles with hydrogen peroxide.

A series of nozzles drives the sterilants out with super-heated air. Still 12-across, bottles are filled and then have their foil membranes crimped on. Above the filling/lidding system, foil membranes are cut from rollstock and fed down a complex system of tracks to the bottles below. Finally, bottles are picked from the filling/lidding system and placed on a discharge conveyor. Filling/lidding system was supplied by Stork Food & Dairy Systems
