Janes Family Foods: New folding-carton erecting and sealing equipment improves efficiency

A mechanical tool equipped with vacuum takes a carton blank from a magazine and positions it on top of the carton former’s head tooling.

Next, a plow descends, pushing the blank down through the forming head. In the process, the four carton corners lock together through tabs and slots. The opened cartons then discharge onto a perpendicular conveyor below.

All six machines installed were manufactured by Bradman-Lake (Charlotte, NC).
