FlexLink: Wide-belt conveyor

Available as components, modules, or a complete system, FlexLink’s new WLX wide modular plastic belt conveyor meets the high hygienic requirements associated with primary and secondary packaging for the food industry by eliminating flat surfaces, hollow bodies, or crevices where bacteria will grow, while providing product and operator safety.

Pw 61381 Stainless Conveyor Wlx 180

The new stainless steel conveyor is silent, safe, and ergonomic, and is easy for operators to lift the chain for cleaning. Operator safety is ensured with minimal openings to prevent pinch points, and the absence of sharp points and edges. The noise level is comfortably low in the factory environment.

The WLX system is available in three widths and is well suited for the handling of pouches, standing pouches, liquid carton packaging, cases, bundles, trays or smaller products in mass flow. The belt is available in 304 mm (12 inch), 456 mm (18 inch) and 608 mm (24 inch) widths.

The total cost of ownership is considerably reduced by features of the new design.  For example, the quick and efficient cleaning process saves a substantial amount of cleaning time. The easy lifting of the chain and easy interior access also reduces cleaning time.

The lead time from design to installation is very short thanks to the standardized and modular design.  Once installed, downtime is minimal, as are power, water, and detergent consumption.
