Goodman Packaging Equipment (Lake Forest, IL) has developed an alternative to traditional pick-and-place systems that uses a two-track rail system instead of a conventional robotic arm.

Accepts most rigid or flexible packages from any source and forms a desired pattern on a servo-controlled layer-forming conveyor. The loading head can move vertically or horizontally, or it can rotate to pick and place packages at speeds to 50/min.
