Thermex-Thermatron (Bay Shore, NY) has developed a radio frequency welder that uses a combination of PLC control and specific algorithms to allow preprogramming of up to eight settings.

Programs of the Model F20-30 include all parameters for a specific application, including power curve profile, preseal time, seal time and cool time. Suited for blister-to-blister and clamshell sealing. Typical seal time ranges from 1 to 11/2 sec/seal, depending on material.
