Cloud: Water-soluble pouch packaging machine

See it at Interpack, Stand C14, Hall 14! Designed for packing product such as laundry detergent, Cloud Packaging Solutions’ Hydroforma SP water-soluble pouch packer runs powder applications at up to 1,200 pouches/min. and liquid applications at up to 700 pouches/min.

The Hydroforma SP is designed to produce very low scrap and integrate easily into secondary packaging systems.  The drum machine produces 30% less scrap than a flat machine, according to the company,  and leakage rate is minimal.

It is equipped with integrated controls and a touch screen menu-driven interface that enables the operator to adjust operations such as the filling rate and speed of drum on the screen, as well as thermoforming, product filling, pouch sealing, and integration with downstream packaging and secondary packaging functions.

The Hydroforma includes an auto-splicer to change rolls of film with minimal downtime. The Pouch Detector vision system checks for film in the drum cavities.  If there is no film, no fill takes place, saving product and eliminating clean-up time.
