In its continuing effort to develop new, greener products, IMEX Vision today announced the launch of Adama, a suite of fully sustainable paper cups for both hot and cold beverages within the quick serve and takeaway segments. Using APP Group’s Foopak Bio Natura base-paper, the cups are PFAS-free and curbside recyclable and comply with composting standards.

The new product line-up will consist of multiple sizes of hot/cold cups in single and double-wall with sustainable molded fiber lids.

“Adama is our new plastic-free line and the latest example of our commitment to innovation and to meeting the needs of an ever-changing marketplace with growing demand for sustainable products," said Ashley Becker of IMEX Vision.

Through Charta Global, the exclusive U.S. & Latin America sales channel for APP, IMEX is converting the award-winning Foopak Bio Natura paperboard as its base paper. The finished products utilize Foopak Bio Natura’s sustainable aqua-dispersion technology, replacing harmful petroleum and plant-based plastic coatings that are not sustainable. The paperboard is certified PFAS-free and plastic-free for curb-side recyclability, is FDA compliant, and both REACH and BfR certified for direct food contact.

“We are thrilled to partner with IMEX and help them bring Adama to market,” said Anthony Atamimi, Sales Director, Charta Global. “Their size and capabilities are a true asset, providing the flexibility needed to support a wide variety of packaging solutions for a dynamic marketplace. We look forward to continuing to grow our relationship, and further integrating our Foopak Bio Natura product as they expand their line-up of sustainable packaging solutions.
