Colep, a major multinational consumer goods packaging and contract manufacturing firm, has acquired the aerosol personal care products contract manufacturing plant of Aerosoles y Liquidos S.A de C.V., in Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico. The new company will trade as Colep S.A de C.V.

The acquisition lets Colep expand in the Central and North American contract manufacturing markets for personal care products, as well as better serve its existing multinational, regional and local brand customers. The Mexican plant adds to Colep’s network of 10 contract manufacturing plants in Europe and Brazil, where it manufactures a wide variety of aerosol, liquid and cream products. The company plans additional investments to increase capacity. This acquisition follows the company's announcement last fall of a global supply network with the One Asia organization, covering Australia, Japan, China, Thailand, India, Poland, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Brazil. The new manufacturing plant advances Colep's plan to become a truly global partner for consumer goods companies.

Colep, a RAR Group company, has annual revenues of approximately 543 million euro or roughly U.S. $746 million as this story posts, and employs approximately 3,600 in Portugal, Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
