Fruit Smoothie Blenders(TM), Del Monte Foods' new line of shelf-stable fruit smoothie drink concentrates, are now reaching club stores in select cities throughout the U.S.

The 11-oz cans contain a 98% juice concentrate. Hot filling provides shelf stability. Consumers prepare the drink by mixing the can's contents with ice in a blender. One can makes about two 9-oz smoothie drinks.

Silgan (Woodland Hills, CA) provides the 211-408 steel can, which takes a full-panel easy-open aluminum end. Fort Dearborn (Niles, IL) supplies the label, a 60# wet-strength structure printed offset in five colors.

Sold four per paperboard carrier, suggested retail price for the four-pack is $5.49 to $5.89.
