The Nibbler GNB lump breaker from process equipment manufacturer Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ, protects heat-sensitive materials from degradation during particle size reduction.

Featuring a proprietary design, the Nibbler GNB replaces high speed grinding with a low speed, high-torque, rotating paddle assembly that cuts the material and shears it through a screen without generating excess heat or using excess energy. The clever cutting action automatically reduces the size of agglomerated dry, solids to a preset particle size ranging from 1mm up to 25mm while maintaining flavors, aromas, textures, colors, potency, and other properties.

Ideal for deagglomerating frozen foods, flour, milk powder, probiotics, pharmaceutical active ingredients, plant-based proteins, dry chemical polymers, and other heat-sensitive materials, the Nibbler GNB is available in standard sizes from 200mm up to 1200mm to process high throughputs up to 50,000 kg/hr. Configurations for sanitary processing, hazardous environments, and process safety are also available, along with custom sizes and configurations to suit any granulating, milling, or lump breaking application.
