ProGrade Tube Magnets deliver an effective inspection alternative for areas where conventional Grate Magnets will not fit.  They are ideally suited for removing ferrous contaminants from liquids in tanks and as a quality control check of dry bulk materials. They also work well in many other situations where a powerful, portable magnetic power source is needed.

These one-inch (25.4mm) diameter, continuously welded Tube Magnets feature 316L stainless steel construction and glass bead surface finish. All models are available with 1/4-20 UNC drilled and tapped end plugs.

Eriez designs ProGrade Tube Magnets in three degrees of magnetic strength: Ceramic, Rare Earth and Xtreme® Rare Earth. Eric Confer, Product Manager-Separation, explains, “Our experienced separation specialists work with customers to select the right level of protection for their unique application and its associated challenges.”

Ceramic powered separators expertly remove medium to large tramp metal such as bolts, nuts and hand tools.  Rare Earth powered separators are designed to remove small ferrous contaminants such as pins, brads and clips.  Separators powered by ProGrade Xtreme Rare Earth magnet material are best at removing weakly magnetic fine ferrous contamination.

For unsurpassed protection against contamination, Eriez recommends the “Double Team” approach of paring ProGrade Tube Magnets with an Eriez Metal Detector. Confer says, “Working in conjunction, the magnet removes the ferrous contamination while the metal detector focuses on any ferrous missed by the magnet as well as nonferrous metals.”
