The company, a leading OEM lubricant formulator, believes this to be the first stand-up oil pouch in the U.S. power sports industry. Glenroy Inc., produces the package, which uses a two-layer extrusion lamination of 48-ga polyester and a five-layer coextrusion. Glenroy also reverse-prints the polyester in five colors on a flexo press.
The package is designed for easy pouring, convenient storage, waste reduction, and superior shelf impact. The pouch format provides is increased surface area for maximum shelf impact. An industry standard 32 oz. F-style quart bottle provides a total label area of approximately 29 square inches; this stand-up pouch provides almost 200 square inches of printed surface area for improved shelf impact. Also in comparison to a rigid container, the pouch offers green benefits from reduced energy and emissions to produce and additional waste reductions downstream.
