Ecolean increases production capacity with new factory in China

In order to meet continued growth and customer demand in Asian markets, Ecolean has recently added new facilities in China that will increase its production capacity of aseptic packaging material.

The new factory and warehouse is an expansion of Ecolean’s current production facilities in TEDA (the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area). The new facilities in China are part of a fifty million euro investment that also includes a new factory and increased production capacity at Ecolean’s headquarters in Helsingborg, Sweden.

“China is one of the most important growth markets for Ecolean, and this major investment underlines our long-term dedication to the markets in Asia. I’m very pleased that we will nearly triple our production capacity in China,” says Peter L Nilsson, CEO of Ecolean.

The newly-opened production facilities occupy a 4,900 sq-meter site in TEDA near Beijing, which is an area with excellent infrastructure and easy access to a skilled workforce. In addition to the new factory and warehouse, Ecolean has also added a new aseptic lab and training facilities.
