Harpak-ULMA receives patent for C-Pak reclosable package

Harpak-ULMA Packaging has announced the issuance of US Patent #8,105.638 for its C-Pak reclosable package, which is characterized by a lower shelf film seal flange and an inside closing interference style lid.

This type of reclosure will better seal in the moisture after the package is opened, as it closes on a much larger surface area than an overcap, therefore keeping its contents fresh. The design is suitable for modified atmosphere packaging and high-speed tray sealing applications. The package design optimizes marketability: allows for unique package shapes; hangs on a peg; stands in a well; lies on its side; stackable; rugged to withstand transport. These results make the package suitable for sliced meat or cheese products.
