EQUiP accreditation was developed by CSafe to enable organizations and users of the AcuTemp RKN to realize the benefits of its innovative temperature management capabilities and to be better equipped to preserve the integrity of cold chain shipments.
“EQUiP accreditation gives our cold chain partners the tools and knowledge to take advantage of the RKN’s superior performance and innovative features,” stated Brian Kohr, President of CSafe LLC. “The ultimate goal is to give RKN users the ability to confidently and effectively manage the challenges of today’s complex cold chain shipping process,” Kohr said.
The EQUiP program provides an opportunity for organizations to fully educate all staff members on the correct handling and operation of the AcuTemp RKN, and to assist organizations with the implementation of good shipping practices. Course training is designed to be flexible enough to fit the needs of particular organizations and individuals, and to help meet the regulatory requirements as they apply to an organization’s specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Currently there are five modules available in the EQUiP accreditation program that target specific roles and activities in the RKN handling or operation process. Training is provided by an on-line, Internet-based portal that allows for course registration, training and instruction of the assigned modules, assessment testing and certification.
For the program to be the most effective, participating organizations should dedicate a full commitment to adopting and incorporating EQUiP best practices into the SOPs of all of its RKN handling locations. As part of an organization’s certification, each AcuTemp RKN handling site or location will require at least one “EQUIP-Elite™” authorized representative be on staff. In addition, any other personnel who may interact with RKN shipments must be accredited in the appropriate EQUiP modules to ensure proper handling at each step of the process. Once an organization has implemented and adopted EQUiP on a company-wide level, the organization may be eligible for Company EQUiP Accreditation.
