Optel Vision and Aylward introduced the TabletProof™ 360˚ vision system that offers pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging companies a simultaneous 360° inspection of each and every pill, tablet, or gel capsule, with a speed up to 2,000 products/min.

This inspection is achieved using Optel Vision’s precision camera and inspection software combined with Aylward’s patented product handling technology.

Tablet manufacturers and contract packers will benefit from the TabletProof 360° as it is capable of handling multiple sizes and shapes of tablets or capsules. May be used in all aspects of production, is mobile and can be moved from line to line to inspect bulk pills wherever needed (in-line or off-line). Tool-less changeover parts ease pill inspection.

TabletProof 360° precision ejection system allows each defective product to be discarded without interruption. Running at speeds of up to 120,000 products/hr, TabletProof™ 360° reduces downtime and rework; thereby increasing quality and customer satisfaction and avoiding expensive recalls.  With the TabletProof™ 360° improves quality assurance and increases customer safety. All solid-dose bulk products can now be completely inspected before packaging.

This 360˚ inspection technology will be available spring of 2013
