Frito-Lay is replacing all the diesel-powered freight equipment at its Modesto, CA manufacturing site with zero-emission and near-zero emission technologies. The $30.8 million Modesto project, which is expected to be completed in 2021, will integrate commercially available and pre-commercial ZE and NZE technologies in applications such as fleet vehicles and supporting infrastructure, onsite renewable energy generation and energy storage systems.
