"Famous" holiday case

The Edrington Group, Glasgow, Scotland, U.K., is decorating The Famous Grouse Scotch whisky domestic and overseas export cases for the holiday season. Since October ‘01, a new animated Grouse icon has been adorning a new B-flute corrugated case used for 7-cL, 70-cL, and 1-L bottles in 6- and 12-pack distribution cases.

The icon is flexo-printed in four-colors on white Kemilite paper and corrugated by DS Smith (Livingston, Scotland, U.K.). The finished material is die-cut, glued, and delivered to The Edrington Group as a complete case. The Edrington Group was unavailable for comment but states that the packaging design change enhances brand image and improves point of purchase display. The 70-cL bottle sells in the U.K. for ƒ12.69.
