Middle East and Africa will register largest CAGR of all retail packaging types, including Internet sales

Though starting from a smaller base of total packaging units (bottles, cans, folding cartons and flexible pouches, etc.) the global region encompassing the Middle East and Africa will grow the most through 2020, estimated at 5.3 percent, according to PMMI Business Intelligence.

Due to economic conditions, the U.S. (0.8%) and Europe (1.2%) will see the smallest growth rates.

Euromonitor International, who produced the study for PMMI Business Intelligence, compiles data points and qualitative analysis for 80 countries. Markets include Beauty and Personal Care, Beverages, Dog and Cat Food, Home Care and Packaged Food. Both primary and secondary retail packages are included, including internet sales.
