PLM software optimizes package development

Global cosmetics leader L’Oreal S.A. selected Siemens’ Teamcenter software to help optimize its packaging development processes, reduce time to market, and improve product innovation and quality.

Teamcenter, a widely used product lifecycle management (PLM) system, will be deployed globally as L'Oreal's corporate product data management system and will be used by everyone involved in the company's product development processes. Teamcenter is developed by Siemens' PLM software business unit.

"Siemens' PLM software was selected following an extensive evaluation process that included major providers in the PLM market," said Martin Rhein, L'Oreal Group Operations CIO. "Teamcenter was selected because of the PLM portfolio's breadth, adaptability to the L'Oreal Processes and Data Model requirements, and user-friendly interface, and because of the knowledge demonstrated by Siemens PLM Software during the selection phase. Naturally, Siemens itself is a large and stable company with a reputation for innovation. This also gives us a lot of confidence in their ability to execute."
