Appliance maker chooses Sonoco as package partner

BSH Home Appliances Corp., Huntington Beach, CA, has entered into a five-year packaging supply agreement with Sonoco. BSH, a joint venture of Robert Bosch and Siemens AG for home appliances, makes premium laundry, cooking and dishwashing appliances for the North American market.

Sonoco will serve as BSH’s strategic supplier at its New Bern, NC, manufacturing complex. Sonoco will establish operations adjacent to the BSH complex to manufacture molded foam and to serve as a hub for sourcing and supplying all of BSH’s packaging needs, including Sonoco’s patented Sonopost® corner-post technology. —AO
