Detector inspects closures at production line speeds

Employing non-contact laser measurement technology, the Silgan 2D Profiling Dud Detection system inspects filled food and beverage containers for complete closure application and confirms their vacuum level is sufficient to hold down the closure safety button or surface. The system software integrates the inspection with a rejector that diverts failing containers from the production line conveyor. Housed in a NEMA 4X stainless steel structure, the system inspects metal, plastic and composite closures.
