Amcor: Recyclable lidding films

Able to be sealed directly onto APET trays, Amcor N-Gage from Amcor Flexibles is a mono-material, high-barrier, peelable lidding film that is said to reduce packaging weight by at least 10%, and makes it possible for consumers to recycle the entire package – lidding and tray.

Developed to be lighter than the current films, N-Gage offers equivalent high performance and tangible cost savings for manufacturers in change-over time, waste, transport and Green Dot charges, according to the company. N-Gage provides quality oxygen barrier, transparency, and tamper evidence.
