Dow Corning Corporation: High-speed crosslinkers

Dow Corning (Midland, MI) has introduced a line of Syl-Off® high-speed crosslinkers. Crosslinkers are additives used by converters during silicone coating of paper and film, primarily for release liners used in p-s label construction.

Crosslinkers ease the removal of material from a sticky surface. Crosslinkers also help reduce misting that occurs when materials are coated with silicone. At speeds of 2ꯠ’/min, these new crosslinkers help provide safer working conditions and can decrease maintenance costs due to silicone build up in ventilation systems, drive motors, and ovens.
