Domino: Ink-jet coding ink

Domino Amjet (Gurnee, IL) has developed 767BK, a thermochromic ink-jet coding ink said to verify sterilization. Ink changes color from black to blue when steam sterilized at 256°F to 428°F for 20 min.

Specifically designed for food canners, ink can also be used on retortable pouches. With a drying time of 2 to 6 sec, depending on substrate, ink is said to provide abrasion resistance.
