Coffee bags

Sengewald Verpackungen (Halle, Germany) has introduced two metal-free films for coffee bags. Both incorporate EVOH as an oxygen barrier material. The first is a lamination of oriented PP and a PE/EVOH/PE coextrusion for stand-up bags.

The overall thickness of the material is 70 to 80 microns. The second, a lamination of OPP and a modified PE/EVOH/PE coextrusion, is for use with brick-pack coffee bags. The thickness ranges from 80 to 85 microns.
