Pliant makes organizational changes

On June 11, Pliant Corp. (Schaumburg, IL) announced Jack Knott as chief executive officer.

Richard P. Durham, Pliant's former chairman and CEO, stepped down from his executive roles at Pliant, but will continue as a member of the board of directors.

Knott, in one of his first orders of business as the new CEO of the film and flexible packaging firm, announced the following organization changes:

*Ron Artzer assumes the position of president, Pliant Solutions Div. Artzer will continue to develop the recently purchased Decora Con-Tact business, and lead the sales strategy of Pliant's Consumer Products businesses. Artzer was formerly president of Decora Inc.

*Stan Bikulege becomes president, Pliant USA, optimizing Pliant's growth in the domestic value-added film and packaging markets. Bikulege was previously t Pliant’s executive vice president of operations.

*Elise Scroggs was promoted to president, Pliant Intl., and will lead Pliant's continued globalization. Scroggs previously was responsible for Pliant's operations in Asia, Europe, Mexico and Latin America.

*Tim Walsh, a partner of JP Morgan Partners, who is currently a member of Pliant’s board of directors, assumes the role of non-executive chairman of the board.
