RFID technology from Korea...

In Korea, McDonald's is experimenting with RFID technology.

Customers there purchase food on their cell phones. While customers must download a McDonalds' application into their phone, they can avoid long lines by using their phone to scan menus that have a built-in RFID chip at their table. Their cell phone rings when the order is ready. Payments can also be handled via cell phone, or through an imbedded RFID chip, which turns the phone into a contactless credit card. Korea and Japan are revolutionizing the use of the cell phone, which may someday play a role in packaging for authorization and anit-counterfeiting.
