Made of HDPE, the Citadel is weather- and chemical-resistant and cubes out trailers and railcars to reduce storage and freight costs. It’s made to be easy to set up and collapse with side panels that fold down for compact storage. Its smooth sides and corners are said to eliminate dangers of protruding nails, splinters, and sharp metal banding sometimes associated with wooden bulk containers. Citadel’s lid design incorporates recessed latches to secure the lid from multiple anchor points. Contoured channels prevent accumulation of water and debris. Edges that lie flush with side panels prevent breakage from impact during shipment.
