Rexam Healthcafe (Mundelein, IL) has introduced Core-Peel™ technology. Made of proprietary coextruded peel and seal layers, Core-Peel is formulated so the seal layer imbeds itself during the sealing process to the fiber structure of porous packaging material.

When peeled, the seal layer breaks because of a coating, and the peel layer is then torn. Core-Peel is currently offered on Integra® Pack Tyvek® pouches and is available on coextruded forming webs and top webs and various laminations.

Tide’s polypropylene caps undergo LaserSharp marking on two sides. On the left, we see an inverted bottle where Tide’s blue detergent is completely filling the dosing cap. Fill-level guidelines are visible both when detergent is in the cap as pictured, and when the cap is empty. On the upper right, we see the OXI logo on the other side of the cap. This branding/logo was also marked on the cap in the LaserSharp process.
