Features include a thermal transfer overprinter, print presence inspection, label-on-product inspection and a rejection system (Watch Video).

Designed to accommodate booklet labels, the thermal transfer overprinter is an intermittent printer capable of printing lot/date codes or 2D bar codes directly on the label prior to application. An integrated Cognex Checker sensor visually inspects the print presence prior to the label being applied to the bottle.

Labels are applied to the bottle through the use of a wrap station. The wrap station features a high durability rubber belt which offers  ruggedness while handling the product gently.

A series of sensors at the outfeed end of the system inspect for label presence. In the event a label is not detected on the bottle, the bottle is rejected into a reject bin by a pneumatic cylinder.
