Designed to simplify parts counting, Setra's (Boxborough, MA) CoStar SETRA 250 LabelWriter is a direct-thermal printer that produces plain text and bar-code labels indicating the average weight of a given sample of parts.

The printer is designed to be integrated with any Setra counting scale equipped with the Auto Count 200 decoding accessory. Then, when the time comes to measure out a certain number of parts, the bar code is scanned with a wand attached to the scale, the bar code is decoded, and the weight of the necessary batch is automatically set.
