Metalcraft has announced pricing and availability of its new RFID Hard Tag, designed to deliver longer read range at lower cost for asset tracking applications that require resistance to heavy impact or submersion in water.

Standardized RFID Hard Tag is a 5”x1” product engineered to provide a read range exceeding 10’ using the passive, Gen2 KSW Windshield RFID inlay. Tag construction houses inlay in ½”-thick UV-stabilized polycarbonate with a clear window for an internal label containing bar-code or other human-readable data. Customers can affix the tag with mechanical fasteners and permanent, p-s adhesive. Tag will withstand exposure to a range of chemicals, water depths exceeding 130’, and impacts as great as 20 tons.
