Whiskey decanter hits Europe

Brown-Forman Beverages Worldwide, Louisville, KY, used a fluted, flint bottle decorated with a white-and-gold applied ceramic label and a gold-plated medal to introduce the third, in its series of seven, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey decanters. This third special decanter commemorates the gold medal that Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey won at the World Exposition in Ghent, Belgium, in 1913. It was introduced to the European market in November 2000.

The 1-L, square, flint bottle was supplied by Saxco International (Horsham, PA) through Consumers Glass (Montreal, Canada). The fluted bottles were decorated by Serigraphie (Montreal, Canada) in white and gold by applied ceramic labeling (ACL), a process in which colors are screened onto the glass and fired onto the bottles.

Saxco supplied a gold medal reproduction, which is gold-plated and antiqued for added authenticity. Serigraphie hand applied the medal to the bottle.

The package was finished off with an octagon-shaped, gold, plastic cork, supplied by J.C. Ribeiro (Portugal). Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey is sold in France, Spain, Germany and Andorra.
