Filamatic, a division of National Instrument LLC: Capper for oddly-shaped containers

The Capamatic® RC-400 from National Instrument (Baltimore, MD) handles a variety of oddly-shaped containers with 13-mm to 35-mm snap caps or 15-mm to 48-mm screw closures, at speeds to 120 cpm.

Its vision system registers a cap's orientation as it exits the feeder chute, then signals the chuck to pick it up and place it on the container in the correct orientation. A second camera inspects closure alignment after the container is capped. No tools are needed to adjust for different cap sizes.
