Retailers: Care about retail-ready packs?

We hear all the time about how hot a trend retail-ready packaging is; which retailers are serious enough to join a subcommittee to address it?

According to supermarketnews.com, retail-ready packaging will be addressed by a new Grocery Manufacturers Association subcommittee. GMA is looking for retailer members to join the subcommittee.

The whole idea, says supermarketnews.com, is to explore how packaging can become easier to identify, open, replenish, and dispose or recycle. Some heavy hitters have already signed on: Procter & Gamble, Georgia-Pacific, Schwans, and J.M. Smucker.
