These machines are compact, ergonomic, dependable, fully automated and driven by brushless motors. Their innovation and flexibility is attributed to the use of robotized solutions, which significantly enhances performance in terms of speed and flexibility.

The MCP840 and MCPV850 (shown) are compact monoblock machines built to perform case packing and palletizing functions.  Palletizing operations are accomplished through the use of a Gigacombi robot, which is a high performance and extremely versatile system. That allows the use of two palletizing/depalletizing stations at the same time. While one station is operating, the pallet in the other station may be changed. In addition, there are a wide selection of options and customizations available: the installation of printers, labellers, barcode scanners and checkweighers, for example.

Track and Trace Solutions – These machines can accommodate serialization systems for pharmaceutical products, in compliance with the current standards of traceability. Marchesini group has developed a complete track and trace line for vials which includes the class leading MCPV850 case packer and RE202 rotary vial labeler.

The top load case packer – palletizer MCPV850 provides its own tracking system that allows the continuous monitoring of the products throughout the packaging process. All acceptable vials exiting from the RE302 continue through to the case packer - palletizer MCPV 850. There, they are grouped into on a transparent surface where the control station is located. With a camera the unit simultaneously reads all the unique 2D service codes printed on the bottom of the containers. The unique 2D service codes provide an exact match with the unique serialized 2D codes associated with them on each vial, so that they can be acquired.  A pick & place unit picks up the containers and places them inside the case, which is subsequently sealed with adhesive tape.  At this stage, the full and exact identification of the vials inside each case is known. A label is then applied on the corner of each case on which a unique serialized code is printed in real time, which is associated with all the unique serialized codes of the vials inside the case.  Another camera verifies this code printed on the label of the case.  This operation starts the aggregation of the individual products inside the cases.  Each compliant case is subsequently picked up by the pick-up arm of the Gigacombi unit, which places it on the pallet according to the pattern set and saved on the machine’s HMI. At this stage, the aggregation of the individual cases on the pallet continues, applying another label on the corner. Which is verified by another camera, and a unique code will be printed in real time that is associated with all the unique codes of the labels of the cases.

The innovation employed to serialization solutions from start to finish, and the flexibility of the features of the machines, makes it ideal for success in the pharmaceutical marketplace.
