Zambelli Packaging Machinery opens U.S. operations

Zambelli Packaging Machinery, headquartered in Bologna, Italy, has established operations in the U. S., in Petersburg, FL.

Family-owned Zambelli has been in business thirty-five years and exports 80% of its production, concentrating in the food, beverage, personal care and pharmaceutical markets. With new state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities about to open in Italy, already existing turnkey systems capability will be greatly expanded. The U.S. operation is modeled after Zambelli operations in the United Kingdom and Poland.

Arnold Lawner has been named General Manager of the newly formed U.S.operation. Mr. Lawner has over twenty years experience in the packaging industry, most recently as European Sales Manager for the SWF Companies and formerly Director of Sales and Marketing for the Packaging Systems Division of Barry-Wehmiller.

PC controls

The new operation will introduce to the US and Canada Zambelli's unique PC controlled line of packaging machinery. Available machinery includes the LFT 150, the highest speed multipack bundler available in the world (capable of running at speeds up to 150 cycles per minute in single lane or up to 450 packs per minute in multiple lanes), Zambelli's exclusive two piece wraparound (WRAP Box) that runs on a continuous motion tray loader with a vertical flute design that offers a perfect solution for case-packing light weight plastic bottles, and the B/AF Wraparound Cartoner capable of collating products such as small cartons, round or bar confections, and flow packs at speeds up to 800 per minute into a display carton.

The street address is: 3300 Walnut St. NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704.
