Markem-Imaje: Inkjet printer

The Markem-Imaje 9028 inkjet printer for small industrial applications features many innovations over its predecessor (the 9020) including a completely new clean, easy-to-use, and recyclable ink circuit – the M6 –which will run non-stop for over 2 years (assuming an annual operating time of 3,000 hours).

The new M6 ink circuit can easily be replaced by the operator in less than 6 minutes, with one single tool (included). An alarm system offers flexibility where replacement programming is concerned. And the 9028 consumes 15% less additive.

A range of new, high-adhesion inks are available for the most difficult substrates to be marked: an MEK-free, quick-drying ink and a permanent ink. Consumables are presented in a new sealed cartridge that displays the quantity of ink remaining with greater precision. Easy-to-handle cartridges are clean and quick to replace, without the need to stop production. Cartridges from other Markem-Imaje CIJ printers are compatible and can be used in the 9028 model.

The 9028 printer has been designed to plug and print. The latest-generation system of printhead cleaning ensures instant daily startups and trouble-free restarts, even after several weeks of downtime. It is operational just a few minutes after installation. A stainless steel stand and an IP55 protection rating help ensure that the 9028 printer can be installed in the toughest manufacturing environments, without any specific installation requirements.
